Some production shops are less expensive and faster in returning diamonds to their clientele. Sometimes though, faster and cheaper does come at a higher price. The skill of the cutter will always determine to some large or small degree, the value of the finished diamond. Often times it may even make the difference between a profit or a loss. With the help of experience, eventually you should be able to distinguish the difference in a highly skilled cutter who may be charging you a higher fee, but giving you larger ultimate returns through
better weight retention and finishes.
