As with proportion evaluation, weight estimation or color grading, you must be alert and careful. More times than not grading is critical in making a profit or saving yourself from embarrassment. Make sure your mind is rested and ready for the task. Be sure the necessary tools are at your disposal including a scope if available, a 10x loupe, a cleaning cloth, tweezers and a good light source.
