A credit application -- commonly called a KYC, Know Your Customer form -- for new wholesale accounts should include at least three to five trade references, proof of business (resale number) etc. Even if you are starting out a new account with lower priced merchandise, there’s no sense in taking unnecessary risks. Even with JBT membership it is wise to call the listed reference to be thorough.
