If you are doing moderate to heavy diamond trading, a gem-scope should be a serious consideration. The binocular microscope, versus the monocular, offers three dimensional (stereoscopic) viewing to allow your eyes to detect the depth and the precise location of an inclusion. Monocular microscopes are impractical for the gem industry, but very useful in many scientific applications where three-dimensional viewing isn’t as important.)
