A Bruted Girdle (5.33)
The perfect gray girdle should be waxy in appearance. Also, some girdles are burnished which is a polishing effect without faceting. The cutter accomplishes this in the bruting process by reducing the pressure of the bort (industrial diamond), on the diamond that’s being girdled.
