Instructions on submitting your diamond to GIA or AGS

  • Locate a local diamond expert. Please review our page on how to do your own exact diamond quote.
  • Make sure that the value warrants the cost of a GIA or AGS report. Call or email us with you local findings.
  • Make sure that there are no negative characteristics that can be eliminated before your report is done. The report will be unforgiving in details of exact specifications including easily removed nicks, chips, burns or scratches.
  • Call GIA or AGS to let them know you are sending your diamond.

After 33 years in the industry we have found that the lack of disclosure and accuracy seems to be more common than the full disclosure and an emphasis on accuracy and education of the buyer. We take misrepresentation very seriously and often recommend the pursuit of a full refund from the original seller. Please call us at (800) 854-0014 or email us at info@gemgate.com if you have any further questions.
